The e-Pass scheme has been launched by Minister of State for Home Affairs and Independent Charge of Transport Harsh Sanghvi. Gujarat government runs many welfare schemes for people of different classes. A scheme has been put in place to encourage the industrial workforce to become a partner in the Government of India's “Green India” mission and to encourage the purchase of battery-powered two-wheelers that reduce carbon emissions.

30% amount or Rs.30,000/- whichever is less for purchase of battery operated two-wheeler by industrial worker will be paid as subsidy and also one time subsidy on RTO Registration Tax and Road Tax of two-wheeler.

Scooter Subsidy Scheme Rules

Following are the rules for assistance under this scheme.

The benefit of this scheme is available only on scooters manufactured in India.
Only the workers registered under Go Green Shramik Yojana can get the benefit.
In this scheme, 30% of the cost of electric vehicle or 30000 Bema whichever is less is eligible.
In this scheme, subsidy is available on the Es-Showroom price of the vehicle.
