SELF DEFENCE TRAINING FOR STD 6 TO 12 GIRLS UPDATE

The Ministry of Human Resource Development will offer 3,000 days of learning to government-run schools over a three-month period to help female students receive self-defense classes as well as inculcate life skills in them. This step has been taken under the Samagra Shiksha initiative.

There are many stories of women who face sexual violence or a random attack by a stranger, as well as being abused in some way. In fact, many women who begin training in self-defense usually choose to start after being subjected to some kind of attack.

The world is changing and becoming unpredictable. As such, self-defense training should be on every woman's to-do list. Due to the graph of crime against women, self-defense training is not only needed, but it is also suggested that they resist any form of sexual assault as well as random attacks.

Since women are a part of society and they have the right to live life without fear. Girls and women always have the image of weak strength without power. In that case, they need to be powerful with some art to defend themselves.

Martial arts are extremely diverse in discipline, training and various techniques. This type of self-defense develops your mind to understand the attacker's move and act to defend harmless and protect yourself from physical damage.

According to sources, the HRD ministry has decided to provide સરકાર 3,000 in schools over a three-month period to all government-run schools, where female students will be taught life skills along with self-defense classes. The sources also said that self-defense training would also be imparted at various Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas for girls studying in classes 6 to 12 along with girls from socially and economically challenging backgrounds.

Walking home alone and feeling uncomfortable? Getting a weird vibe from a stranger on the bus? Many of us have been there.

In a January 2018 survey of 1,000 women across the country, 81 percent experienced some form of sexual harassment, assault or both during their lifetime.

Oral harassment was the most common form, but 1 percent of women said they had been inadvertently touched or grouped, while 5 percent of women survived sexual assault.

Even if you have never found yourself in a situation that makes you physically insecure, making sure about your next steps (and the unfortunate circumstances that you can help should never make a difference) can make all the difference.

A study by Reg Reagan University found that women who participated in self-defense classes:

Instead there were better security strategies

  • Were more equipped to deal with strangers and people they knew in the event of a potential attack or abuse
  • There were more positive feelings about his body
  • Confidence was boosted
  • Below are the self-defense moves for our top eight women - complete with suggestions - to make you feel empowered to defend yourself in any situation.

Learn to develop boundaries, even with people you know
The Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network reports that 70 percent of sexual violence cases are not perpetrated by random strangers in a dark alley, but by people we know: friends, family, partners, coworkers, etc.

With women, especially young girls, facing the same number of crimes every day, the Ministry of Human Resource Development launched an initiative called Samagra Shiksha. With the help of the initiative, the ministry has decided to impart self-defense lessons to female students in classes 6 to 12.

This can cause our guards to become frustrated. We are too shy, too shy, or too scared to hurt the feelings of others that we don’t always think about ourselves.

Some of the essential principles of prevention include:

Awareness. Make sure you are as aware of your environment as possible. Limit distractions while in place or in other public settings. Don't keep an eye on your phone. Make sure you can hear around you. The keys are ready. Walk with purpose.
Boundaries. Make an issue to ask yourself if someone is upsetting you. Be verbal with them. No matter how much you want a friendship or relationship to work, even if it can’t respect your boundaries, it’s someone you shouldn’t have in your life.

Where or how to get practice

Whether someone is approaching you from the front, side or back, basic self-defense knowledge can put you in place to defend yourself.

If your area offers Krave Maga or Muay Thai classes, consider signing up. Muay Thai is a Thai fighting game that uses stand-up striking techniques. Crave Maga is a modern self defense system.

If you want to increase strength and learn self-defense moves in high-intensity situations, check out your local martial arts courses, such as kickboxing or karate.

When equipped with some basic self-defense knowledge, women, young or old, city dwellers or country dwellers, can have confidence in their personal safety and protection. No matter what type of combat or self-defense class you take, practicing can help you increase muscle memory. In a flight-or-flight situation, the memory of these muscles can be key to helping you escape an attacker.
