Fireworks were banned in public in Gujarat
With the Diwali festival now just days away, public fireworks have been banned in Gujarat. In the state of Gujarat, firecrackers can now be fired only within the prescribed limits. A notification has been issued by the Home Department regarding the Diwali festival. According to which crackers are banned in public. As well as the people have to follow the guidelines of the Supreme Court. Fireworks can no longer be set off in public. Illegally imported fireworks are also banned.

The state government has banned the firing of fireworks in public following a Supreme Court order regarding the firing of fireworks in public during the Diwali festival and a ban on foreign imported fireworks. Not only Diwali, but other festivals as well as Christmas and New Year festivals have issued necessary instructions regarding the firing of fireworks.
Following the Supreme Court order, the state government has banned the firing of fireworks in public. It has also banned the import of foreign fireworks. All the district collectors and police commissioners of the state have been asked to issue restraining orders. Illegal sale of fireworks has been asked to take action against hoarding.
