We all love movies and we all love food. What could be better than great movies all about food? Grab some popcorn because these movies will not only make you hungry but will also definitely inspire you to rush over to the kitchen and start cooking.


Julie & Julia

This is one movie that will surely not disappoint all you foodies, especially when it includes famed chef and author Julia Child. Based on a true story that will definitely encourage you to grab a copy of Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking. The 2009 dramedy shows there’s one thing in the world that can upstage Academy Award winner Meryl Streep: Julia Child’s famously delicious and complex Bourguignon. this is really a must-watch!


Eat, Pray, Love

Eat, Pray, Love is a beautiful story of self-discovery. It tells the story of a new divorcee that travels through Italy, India, and Bali. Although the movie is 2 glorious hours long, don’t let that steer you away from Julia Roberts and all her amazing eats. It’s not only a brilliant movie, but will leave your mouth watering.

Ratatouille

Perhaps this animated film is more for the younger audience, it’s a great fun movie that can really be enjoyed by all. At first, you may not be so drawn to the idea of a rat in the kitchen but this 2007 movie will definitely leave you with a good feeling. Remy, (the rat) yearns to become a renowned French chef. But he sadly begins to see that people loathe rodents and will never enjoy a meal cooked by him.

A definite feel-good, fun film with a lot of good music and food, what else could you ask for? After losing his job at a popular restaurant, Chef Carl Casper tries to begin afresh by fixing up a food truck. Along the way, he not only learns a lot but becomes much closer to his family. In the process, he ends up becoming closer to his family. Even if you’ve never heard of this before, make sure to watch it soon!

We all know that a lot of movies aren’t exactly Oscar-worthy, but that doesn’t mean they’re not good movies right? Here is another wonderful film you foodies will enjoy. This romantic/ drama is about a perfectionist chef that is having difficulty raising her late sister’s young daughter. But at the same time, a new overly joyous chef threatens to take over her kitchen with his freestyling ways.


Chocolat

Perhaps one of the most popular food-related films to be created. A single mother and 6-year-old daughter open a chocolate shop in a rural village in France. Of course, they get a huge amount of disapproval from the villagers’. But over time, fortunately for them, they win the hearts of the people in their village. Great for all those sweet-tooth lovers and chocoholics!
